DIERS Benchmarks
Case 3 Two-phase hybrid Flow Download
DIERS two-phase hybrid flow benchmark is based on the same relief pressure of 72.5 psia but 5 psi is nitrogen and 67.5 psi is the steam. The physical properties of the liquid remain the same but now the physical properties of the nitrogen/steam mixture is based on mixture properties based on partial pressures of each gas.
Case 5 Two-phase high viscosity hybrid flow Download
DIERS two-phase high viscosity hybrid flow is the save as above except the liquid viscosity is based on the equation µ = exp(A + B/ T(oK)), where B = 2959.3 and A = -1.74. The viscosity varies with temperature.
